Well this ended up being a rather strange post, including a mix of serious and not so serious things.
School...Yikes...school has started, it's the second week and I'm behind already. So much for resolutions to have all my reading finished before class. I hope no teachers are reading this! Perhaps I should stop blogging and go write my abstracts.
Wine...I just found my new favorite wine last night (which could also be a reason why schoolwork isn't getting finished). It's a Woodbridge Ranch Cabernet Sauvingnon.
Music...This is probably old news if you're a Nickel Creek fan. If not, I feel it my duty to inform you:

Dearest Listener,
After seven years of extensive touring in support of three records (seventeen years as a band), we've decided to take a break of indefinite length at the end of 2007 to preserve the environment we've sought so hard to create and to pursue other interests. It has been a pleasure to write, record, and perform for you through the years and we'd like to heartily thank you for your invaluable contribution to our musical lives.
Yours,
Nickel Creek
(Sean, Sara, and Chris)
What will I do without my favorite band? Can you still call them your favorite band if they're not together anymore? I've been listening to new mix CDs and Pandora internet radio in hopes to fill the void.
Today...Well perhaps this should have gone first, but my thoughts have been on the events that happened in 2001 today. I usually think of the Alan Jackson song, "where were you when the world stopped turning, on that September day" I was walking across campus with a friend whose brother-in-law worked at the Pentagon, thankfully he was fine. I guess I'll always remember where I was. My thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by the events of September 11, especially those back in Maryland.
